Case study · ADRA Lebanon · Humanitarian NGO · Since 2024
Some work you can’t do from a desk.
ADRA delivers aid where Lebanon hurts most. When the 2024 war came, they needed footage that could move donors abroad, and no one free to shoot it. So we went with them: to the South, to the Bekaa, under the strikes.
What we do for ADRA
Their voice, in every channel.
ADRA Lebanon has been responding since 2014, inside a network of 118 country offices. Our job is to make that work visible: to the public, to partners, and to the donors who decide what the next year can fund.
Social media, and its aesthetic
The pages, the voice, the visual system. Every post you see on ADRA Lebanon’s feed passes through our hands.
Content and production
Films, reels, photography, campaign visuals. Made to be honest first and beautiful second, in that order.
Field interviews
When ADRA staff had to travel during the war and volunteers were short, we held the camera and asked the questions ourselves.
Donor-facing assets
The material that goes abroad to unlock funding. It has to carry the truth of the field to a boardroom in another country.
The annual report
Design and layout of the report shared across the ADRA network and with donors worldwide.
September 2024
We went with them.
From 21 September the strikes spread across the country. More than half a million people were displaced within days; schools became shelters. ADRA was on the ground feeding people, and the world needed to see it to keep the aid coming.
- The needFootage and stories from the field, fast, so partner offices abroad could raise funds while it mattered.
- The problemNo one free to shoot it safely. The team was distributing, not filming.
- The answerWe packed the cameras and drove with them. Not as an agency on a call, as part of the team.
Distributions under strikes
Food, water, hygiene kits reaching households along the southern border. We filmed the hands that gave and the hands that took, and kept moving.
Shelters and hot meals
Displaced families in collective shelters. Interviews with people who had left home with ten minutes’ notice, told in their own words.
Cut, subtitle, send
Edited overnight so the footage reached partner offices while the news was still on. Speed was part of the brief.
If Good Timbers were part of ADRA, this is what we would have done. So that is what we did.
Where it travelled
Made in Lebanon. Picked up across the network.
Content made for ADRA Lebanon was noticed and used by sister offices abroad, the offices whose donors fund the response. That is the point of the work: to make the field legible far from the field.

The annual report
The document the whole network reads.
Once a year, everything ADRA Lebanon did has to fit in one report: for the network’s other offices, for institutional donors, for the people who decide budgets. We design and lay it out, so that a year of field work reads as clearly on a screen in Silver Spring as it felt in the Bekaa.

“What really sets Good Timbers apart is their genuine empathy. They don’t just create content: they take the time to understand our mission and vision, so everything they produce truly aligns with our values.”

Why we do it
Once you go in, you can’t get enough.
Humanitarian work is the part of our business that makes the rest make sense. It is where we feel most alive, and most at peace, despite everything. If you run an NGO in Lebanon or the Gulf and need your work seen by the people who fund it, we would like to come and see it first.
Talk to us about your organisationDo you produce content for NGOs in Lebanon and the Gulf?
Yes. Social media management, film and photography, field interviews, donor-facing assets and annual report design, for humanitarian and development organisations across Lebanon and the Gulf.
Will you film in the field, including emergencies?
We have, during the 2024 war, in the South and the Bekaa alongside ADRA’s team. We assess risk with the organisation and follow its security protocols; when it is safe enough for the team, it is safe enough for us.
Can you design our annual report?
Yes, end to end: structure, layout, data visualisation and production files, in English and Arabic.
Work that needs to be seen to be funded?
Show us the field. We’ll bring the cameras.
