This page explains what happens to your information when you visit good-timbers.com or write to us through it. We keep it short and in plain language because that is how we would want to read it.
Who we are
Good Timbers S.A.R.L. is a brand strategy and creative agency registered in Lebanon, based in Adma-Kfaryasin, Keserwan. We are the controller of the personal information described on this page. You can reach us at info@good-timbers.com or +961 78 709 082.
This policy covers this website only. The work we do for clients is governed by our agreements with them, not by this page.
What we collect, and why
When you write to us
The contact form, the careers form and the "tell me when it's live" form ask for what we need to answer you: your name, your email address and, depending on the form, your company, a message, a link to your work or a note about yourself. When you send a form, our server also records the time and your IP address for a few minutes, only to stop spam and automated abuse. What you send is delivered to our mailbox by email; it is not stored in the website's database.
We keep messages for as long as we need them to reply and to follow up. Job applications are kept while the role is open and for up to twelve months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
When you simply visit
Like every website, ours is served by a hosting company that keeps technical logs: the address of the page you asked for, the time, your IP address and the type of browser and device you use. These logs exist to keep the site secure and fast and are kept for a limited time by our host.
We use analytics to understand which pages people read and where visitors come from, so we can make the site better. Analytics tools set cookies and use pseudonymous identifiers; they do not tell us who you are. When we run advertising campaigns we may also use measurement tools from advertising platforms, which use cookies to tell whether an advertisement led to a visit.
Content loaded from other companies
Some pages embed posts and reels from Instagram, and the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches that content, the company that hosts it (Meta, Google) receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, exactly as if you had visited their service directly. Their privacy policies apply to that data.
Cookies
We use cookies for analytics and advertising measurement, as described above, and embedded content may set its own. You can delete cookies or block them entirely in your browser's settings; the site keeps working without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on and manage advertising cookies through the settings of the platforms concerned.
Who else sees your information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run this website and our business, under their own confidentiality and data-protection terms: our hosting provider (WP Engine, United States), our analytics and advertising measurement providers (Google, Meta) and our email provider (Microsoft). Because these companies operate internationally, your information may be processed outside Lebanon, including in the United States and the European Union. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires. Form messages: as described above. Analytics data: according to the retention settings of the tool, which we keep to the minimum that still lets us see trends.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw a consent you gave. Write to info@good-timbers.com and we will answer within a reasonable time. We handle personal information in line with Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on electronic transactions and personal data and, for visitors from the European Union, with the General Data Protection Regulation.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and adults. It is not directed to anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), hosted on managed infrastructure with monitoring and backups, and access to our mailbox is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, only care.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be explained here in plain words.
